Papamoa DSP ("we"), a New Zealand business you can reach at hello@papamoa-dsp.co.nz, collects as little about you as possible. This policy follows the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, and the EU and UK GDPR where they apply to you.

This website

We don't use tracking cookies, advertising or analytics scripts. Our host, Cloudflare, processes standard request data (such as IP address) to deliver and protect the site. The site's fonts are served by Google Fonts, so your browser also sends your IP address to Google when a page loads.

When you buy

Purchases are handled by FastSpring. They collect your name, email, billing address and payment details under their own privacy policy. We receive your name, email, country and order details so we can send your license key and support you. Your name is written into your license key. We never see your card details.

When you email us

Our email is routed by Cloudflare and stored with Google (Gmail). We keep your emails so we can reply and help with your license. If you ask to hear when STRIDENT for Linux or macOS is out, we will use your address only for that one message, and then stop.

The software

STRIDENT does not send any personal data or usage information over the internet.

Where it's kept, and for how long

The services above store information outside New Zealand, mainly in the United States. We keep order details for as long as you might need your license key re-sent, and for as long as New Zealand law requires us to keep business records. We keep emails only for as long as they are useful for supporting you.

The site is served only over HTTPS, and we never hold payment details. If we ever have a privacy breach that is likely to cause serious harm, we will tell you and the Privacy Commissioner, as the Privacy Act requires.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, we rely on our contract with you to handle your order details, and on our legitimate interest in replying to you to handle your emails.

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. Email hello@papamoa-dsp.co.nz. We don't sell or share your information with anyone except the services named above, as needed to run the site and process your order. If you're unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner, or, in the EU or UK, to your local data protection authority.
