About Papamoa DSP
Papamoa DSP is one person in New Zealand making music software. It's named after Papamoa, the beach town in the Bay of Plenty where I was born and raised.
I've been making music on computers for over 30 years, and working in IT for the last 15. Strident is the synth I kept wishing someone would make. Eventually I stopped waiting and made it myself.
Licensing without the hoops
I've always liked how REAPER handles licensing: a full evaluation with nothing held back, a fair price for personal use, and being trusted rather than policed. Strident works the same way:
- 60 days to try every feature, free. No account, no email address.
- After 60 days it'll remind you, but it never stops working.
- Your key is checked on your own computer. No online activation, no servers to go down.
- Free updates for all of Strident 1.x.
If you keep using it, please buy a license. That's the whole system.
